EBP & QI Guidelines

STEP 1: COMPLETE THE ONLINE SUBMISSION FORM

As primary author, complete the online form with your contact information and co-presenter name(s), if applicable. The online form is to be completed in one sitting. We recommended that you peruse the entire form, gather your information, then cut/paste into the online form.

 

  STEP 2: ADDITIONAL SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

After completing the online submission form, email the following (Word format) files to: NursingResearchSym@gmail.com
Subject Line:  Symposium Submission

A. FINANCIAL RELATIONSHIP FORM (FRF)                                  

In addition to completing the online form, a financial relationship form (formerly COI form) is required for all primary authors. CLICK HERE to download the FRF.

B. ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Along with the FRF, submit your one page abstract (in Word format) with formatting as follows:

 a) One page, 8.5”x11”, Word Format   b) 12 Times Roman font   c) One inch margins all around.

 

Title & Authors:

· A descriptive title that describes the work done. Primary & co-authors. (abstracts will be blinded prior to review)

 Background & Significance:

· Describes the problem you are addressing and why it is important.

 Clinical Question:

· What was the question to be solved or what is the PICO (Patient/Population/Problem, Intervention, Comparison, & Outcome) statement? Author may choose between a PICO or clinical question.

 Evidence:

· Describe strategies used to identify pertinent scholarly   work and then synthesize the evidence that supported the intervention.

 Intervention Implementation:

· Describe what was implemented and the processes used for successful implementation.

 Evaluation:

· Describe the project goals and outcomes measured. Describe tools used for data collection (surveys, chart abstraction, interviews). 

 Results:

· Describe the results of your measured outcomes and project goals. 

 Significance/Conclusion:

· Describe the implications for nursing practice and any conclusions that can be drawn from your methods or results.
